According to Bob (our bus driver) and Garmin we are looking at an arrival in Avon Lake around 1:00-1:30ish saturday morning

The Nolan House we are staying in is an old victorian home that was a convent for catholic nuns- not gonna lie...a tad spooky

Making cheese! Did you know that authentic mozzarella cheese comes from Water Buffalo? Yeah neither did I!

Awesome rainbow overlooking the valley at the farm. Learning about wool and the cottage industry it is apart of.

Just shoveld alpaca and llama poop. Wheeeeeeeeeew! That is some real rich stuff! The running of the sheep was a complete riot!

 Day 1 at the farm in the books, all is quiet in the tents...

There's a wonderful 40 degree breeze gracing us trhis evening atop the mountains in Rutland! My one long sleeve shirt has got to last!

Sphaghetti with fresh farm sausage, fresh farm grown spinach and garlic meat sauce, with fresh farm made garlic bread...=pure joy

Delay on dinner! Lots of goood rain on the farm- so we are now playing water buffalo, goats and bees! Best game ever!

We made it to the Farm! And 15 minutes after we got here it started to rain! Awesome place! Can't wait for the rest of this trip!

WHAT: A trip to Rutland, MA to spend a week at Overlook Farm. The farm is owned and operated by Heifer International. We will be working on the farm and learning about sustanibility and the importance of becoming global citizens. On Friday as we head back towards Ohio we will spend the day whitewater rafting down the Hudson River. 

 
WHO: 6 Adults and 24 Sr. High youth from Avon Lake U.C.C.
 
WHEN: Saturday June 5th at 2:00pm - Saturday June 11th at 1:00am approximately
